Chai green tea blend

In a quarter-liter plastic bag, place the tea leaves, cardamom, cloves and cinnamon sticks.  Blow into the bag as if you were blowing a balloon.  Once it is inflated, hold the bag closed and shake  until it is well combined.     Store in a clean, opaque glass or ceramic jar with a screw-top or tight-fitting cork stopper.  Shake the pot well to distribute the different ingredients before removing the tea.  For an intense fragrance, use within 6 months. ( The essential oil can be used in the recipes that follow.) Four Flower Herbal Tea  



 Follow the recipe for the Chai green tea blend, using 1/4 cup dried chamomile flowers, 1/4 cup dried hop flowers, 1/4 cup dried lavender flowers and 1/4 cup rose petals dried. (Essential oil supplement: lavender.) Aromatic herbal tea blend: follow the recipe for Chai green tea blend, using, 1/3 cup dried lavender flowers, 1/3 cup dried peppermint leaves, and 1/3 cup dried rose petals. (Essential oil supplement: rose.) Soothing Herbal Tea Follow the recipe for Chai Green Tea Blend using 1/3 cup of dried chamomile flowers, 1/3 cup of dried hops, and 1/3 cup of marjoram

Stimulating herbal tea blend: follow the Green Chai recipe, using 1/3 cup of dried eucalyptus leaves, 1/3 cup of dried lemon balm leaves, and 1/3 cup of leaves of dried rosemary. (Essential oils supplement: eucalyptus.) 1/4 CUP OF CHINESE GREEN TEA LEAVES 1/4 CUP OF WHOLE GREEN CARDAMOM PANS 1/4 CUP 1/4 CUP OF WHOLE CLOVE NAILS 3 or 4 THREE- INCH STICKS CINNAMON, COARSELY CHOPPED WITH A HEAVY-DUTY KNIFE (ESSENTIAL OIL SUPPLEMENT: ORANGE)    
   

Green tea margarita

For each drink, you will need:

1 QUARTER OF LIME OR LEMON

SAUCER WITH SUGAR TO COVER THE RIM OF THE GLASS

1/2 TO 2/3 CUP OF STRONGLY INFUSED CHAI GREEN TEA.  FROZEN  IN  6-8 SMALL ICE

STICKS 21/2 TABSOONS  (11/4 OUNCES)  OF PREMIUM TEQUILA

1 TABSOON OF FRESH LEMON JUICE

1 TABSOON OF COINTREAU

2 TABSOONS OF SUGAR

When summer arrives, Margarita comes to stay, and there's more than one way to shake it up.  She can be a glass party girl or an elegant companion.  In this recipe, it is all dressed and mixed with green chai ice cubes  . With a hint of spice in every sip, this is a seductive  señorita .

Rub the lime wedge around the rim of an old-fashioned glass.  Dip and turn the edge into the sugar saucer, making sure to keep the sugar on the outside.  In a blender, combine the chai ice cubes, tequila, lemon juice, Cointreau and sugar.  Mix according to the pulse setting until a pasty mixture is obtained.  Pour into the sugar glass.


Variation:  for those who prefer their libations to ice, fill an old-fashioned glass filled to 1/3 with chai ice cubes. Follow the recipe for green tea margarita, using the pulse function of the blender to mix the ingredients until the ice is coarsely chopped and the mixture is foamy.  Filter the mixture into the prepared glass using a colander.
